Sentinel Runtime

Sentinel Runtime by SafeNet Inc. is the core runtime environment that enables software protected with SafeNet’s Sentinel licensing technologies to run reliably and securely. It installs the necessary drivers and services to communicate with Sentinel hardware keys (USB dongles) and software-based licenses, enforce license terms, and manage activation for both local and networked deployments.

Key capabilities:

• Provides the Sentinel Local License Manager service and a web-based Admin Control Center for license monitoring, configuration, and diagnostics.
• Supports stand-alone and concurrent network licensing, including license discovery on local machines and across networks.
• Works with modern Sentinel HASP/LDK licenses and is backward-compatible with many legacy SafeNet Sentinel keys.
• Offers cross-platform support (Windows, macOS, and Linux) and is suitable for silent, large-scale enterprise deployments.
• Enhances security and tamper resistance for protected applications while maintaining a small system footprint.
